As a loyal reader you will know that I usually stick to my lipsticks, however the past few months I've been moving away from bold lip colours to a sheerer finish. To begin with I started with tints, or sheer thin lipsticks, but lately I've been choosing glosses instead of a stick or tint.
I used to HATE lip glosses - with a passion. I found them heavy, sticky and they just reminded me of awkward teenage years. Nice. However, last year I discovered a lip gloss that changed my mind. The Maybelline High Shine ColorSensational Lipgloss is feather light, smooth, long lasting and ever so pretty. I was immediately swayed and knew I had to get back on that gloss horse.
Since then I've tried many different glosses, some good, some bad - some that have won my heart. Those being the Maybelline offerings, Tanya Burr glosses and also the Benefit ones (in particular, Dandelion). These are perfect for my 5am starts, a quick slick and I look professional, made up and ready to go. This winter I've started pairing glosses on top of lipstick as well, to add a little flair - my personal favourite at the moment is Mac's FanFare with Tanya Burr Aurora on top. I love this type of combo at the moment.
I am completely won over by glosses at the moment, whether it's lonely or paired with a pretty lipstick or liner. For me, gloss is the way forward in 2015.
What could you win you over to gloss?
I was the same! went through a stage of not getting along with lipgloss ... but now I love it :)

I tend to shy away from lip glosses as the thought of them being sticky on my lips fills me with dread. I hate that feeling. I have found a couple that feel silky smooth & I agree that the Tanya Burr ones are lovely & I like the sound of the Maybelline one
