Christmas can be incredibly stressful for some, running around, getting last minute gifts and trying to please all the relatives. But if you're not careful, you can stress yourself out and not enjoy the festive period. So how can you learn to relax a little bit more?
Take a Lush bath
Lush have some incredible Christmas themed bath bombs and bubble bars, all manners of products that can really help you relax. It's the perfect way to have some me time, with a book and a Christmas candle. I always find a bath is the perfect way to get away from everything and really take a step back. It's 40 minutes of my time where I can forget about everything else going on and delve into a a good book, or series on Netflix.
Watch a Christmas film
Sometimes you just need to remember why you love Christmas in the first place, and the best way to do that is immerse yourself in your favourite Christmas film. I've never seen a Christmas film that doesn't have a feel good ending, so it's bound to get you not only in the festive mood, but also in the best mood every.
Bake your favourite festive cake
I always find cooking or baking really relaxing. I have to focus completely on that, so my mind won't be wondering off and getting stressed about something else. If you have kids as well it's the perfect thing to involve them in and start a new tradition. Plus, who doesn't like licking out the bowl and stuffing your face full of yummy cakes?
It's all going to be different for everyone, but if you are feeling a bit stressed coming into the week of Christmas, these are some simple things to help you feel calmer and ready to hit the festive season.
